Watch Out Martha Stewart Here Comes Heather Hansen!!!

So I bought this huge toy box off of craigslist for like $20 bucks last year and it has been in Jacob's room since then. I never really loved the thing, it was huge and pretty ugly. Until now! I moved it to Lily's room and decided to paint it and make it pretty. If I can ever find a picture of it before, I will post it. It was just a beat up medium stained wood toy box with no character. Well look at it now!! I think I did an okay job myself! I attached fabric and batting to some thin pieces of wood and inserted them into the molding on the toy box. It was a fun project but not so fun when you are pregnant and having a hard time bending over easily!

Old Pictures!!!

Going through some old pictures I realized I never posted these of Mike and I. They were taken about a year or so ago for his dental website! The photographer snapped a couple of the two of us for me to have. Doesn't Mike look like he is about 12 years old with those braces! He is glad to have gotten them off soon after these pictures were taken!

Zack's Baptism!

Back on July 10th Jacob's friend Zack was baptized! Jake was so excited to see this whole process! It made him that much more excited for November to roll around the corner! He can't wait!

Mason had to sneak in with the big boys and get his picture taken too!

I wish they got along like this all of the time! Okay, they actually hardly ever fight! They really do get along great with each other!

Trip To Utah!!!

We made another wonderful trip to Utah back on June 25th - July 5th!!! We had a blast as usual! We were able to fit in Lily's doctor appt. as well as my family reunion! It always works out well for us to go to Utah for Lily's appts. and fit in other activities as well! Mike left with the two boys on the 24th and Lily and I followed close behind the next morning. It was nice only flying with one child for me! Poor Mike had it hard though. His flight ended up being delayed and then canceled at some point and the three boys ended up flying all night and arriving at 4 am. What troopers. Lily and I ended up arriving the same day about 10 hours later! Tom and Megan were not able to see us this trip which kinda sucked. Megan ended up having her gall bladder taken out not long after we got there. She did well though and is feeling better and we hope to see them next time. We got to hang out with Eric's family the next day after we got there and had a big BBQ with wonderful brisket! Then later that night we headed up to SLC for a Real Salt Lake soccer game with the Hansen's, and Eric's family and Todd's family!

This is a typical day at the Hansen's when we visit! The weather is perfect almost all day to just hang out outside!

A.E. Bushman Family Reunion

The next day we had my side of the family's reunion! We met at one of my cousins house for a picnic after church and had a blast catching up with everyone! She lived in Lehi and we just hung out at her neighborhood park!

These are all my first cousins that were able to be there! Believe my I have many more!

The next day we all met up again at a beautiful park up in Provo Canyon! It was kind of a come and go type of day and everyone just visited and had lunch together! The kids had a blast playing up in the mountains and the weather could not have been better.

These three girls were my best friends growing up! We are all around the same age and had a blast as cousins. It still feels like time has not past whenever we see each other accept for the fact we are older and now have more responsibilities.

Back to the Hansens

After my family reunion the rest of the week we got to just hang out with the Hansens! We did alot of lounging around, eating fresh food out of the garden and just hanging out outside with beautiful weather!

The kids love doing anything with their grandpa!!!

Barb made the best salad with these fresh greens! Yummy!

Shriner's Hospital

Of course a trip to Utah would not be the same if we did not go to Shriner's Hospital! Lily had an appt. and everyone tagged along for the ride!

This is Angie Livingston our favorite Care Coordinator! She is amazing and always makes are trips go so much easier at the hospital! We love her!!!

We of course had to eat at the hospital cafeteria at least once on our trip! They actually have pretty good food there and very cheap I might add!!!

Gateway Children's Museum

After Lily's appt. at Shriner's (which went very well!!) we met up with Wendy and her kids at the Gateway Children's museum in Salt Lake! The kids had a blast!

She informed me she would like a real one of these at home!

Sundance

Grandpa and Mike took the kids to Sundance to ride the chairlift and walk some hiking trails. this is one of Lily's favorite things to do when we go to Utah! She loves to be in the mountains!!

Backyard Camping!

What is a trip to Utah without camping in the back yard with Grandma and Grandpa! The kids love this tradition I think! Of course Mike and I opted to sleep inside on the nice soft matresses! Yeah, I am a wuss and pregnant! The kids had a blast though!

Fourth of July at Ben and Maggie's House!!!

Ben and Maggie had us down to Sugar House for dinner and fireworks. Maggie made a very delicious dinner and we gorged ourselves and played games until the fireworks started later that night. It was a great evening!!!

Maggie bought the kids bird houses to paint! They loved it!

They took them home to grandma's to hang them on her trees!!

Our trip to Utah was again a fun time and we can't wait to do it again. I guess the next time there will be six of us though! Crazy! Hopefully we can continue to make as many trips as possible out there without it breaking the bank. I think driving will have to become a reality in the future now!
