GETTING SENTIMENTAL!!!

We listed our house for sale this week and I can't help but feel a little sad we will be moving out of our first home together! I has been a wonderful house and I am really going to miss it! We listed it on Wednesday and on Thursday had a showing and have 3 more tomorrow. I hope other people like it as much as we have! We are excited about our new adventure and hope to sell this quickly! I had to take pictures of every room to remember our first home! Crazy I know but I want to remember it forever!

I put Lily in a beginner dance class and last night she started!! She is in her element! She loved it! There are some really cute girls in her class and the parents all seem wonderful! I got to meet alot of great people last night! As some of the parents and I were talking we were pointing out each others kids in the class. Right as I was pointing out which kid was mine Lily did her signature move of lifting her leg up on the ballet bar straight up right by her head. Any of you that know Lily knows how flexible she is. All the parents were in shock and the teacher as well. Her teacher gave a surprised look and kinda giggled saying this girl was made for ballet. It was funny. Lily loved it and can't wait to go back. So glad I found something she loves to do!! Her classmates seem wonderful too! We are excited!

Leif had to put on Lily's ballet skirt when we got home and ran around the house kicking his legs up like he was dancing! He kept saying he was a princess and had a beautiful skirt on. I had to take a picture for his proud papa!! As you can imagine Mike was having a hard time with the whole thing!! HAHA

Sarah dropped off Brenna at our house before school so she could ride the bus to school with Lily and Jake. They were all so excited it was cute! Leif of course has to wear his own back pack out to the bus stop to feel included. It was a fun morning!!!

First Day of School!!!

Yeah!! Back to school time! The kids were so ready for this! My kids absolutely love school and could not wait to get back. Lets hope they have this same attitude toward school for a long time (knock on wood). Lily was most excited to ride the bus to school this year with her brother! Jake said to me, "Mom, I will sit with her on the bus for a few weeks until she finds some friends and then she is on her own!" What a silly kid! I put them on the bus first thing in the morning and then hopped in the car to meet Lily at school for her first day of kindergarten. She loves her teacher and is excited about being back at John Ross again. Brenna and her are lucky and get to be in the same class! She wanted to sit by her cousin and was a little upset when the teacher wanted them separated. Oh well, life goes on! We got the teacher we wanted for Lily and Jacob got a new teacher new at the school! Lily's teacher has taught at this school for like 35 years or something and is the sweetest. We are excited!

Lily sleeps in curlers for the first time!!!

I put some curlers in Lily's hair for the first time after a bath last night before bed. She was so funny! She was so careful with her head all night and didn't want to bump them. Then first thing when she woke up she ask if they were still okay! She looks like Shirley Temple but she loves it! I have to admit it is a little cute and very curly! She is so proud!!!

My kids have been worn out by some summer activities lately! They tend to fall asleep on the couch too often recently! So cute though! Jacob finally got to meet his new cousin a few days after she was born and he was in love at first sight! He loves to hold her and just gently tickle her face as often as he can. It is so sweet! He asks everyday when he can cuddle with her again! Hopefully he enjoys his new baby brother just as much as Brooklyn!!!

I love my sweet Jacob. The first time he held her in these pictures he sat there for about 45 min. just tickling her face gently and kissing her so softly on the forehead! He has such a tender heart it was so neat watching how he was treating her. I love his tenderness! Whoever gets to marry him will be one lucky lady!!!

She's Here!!!

Yeah! She is here safe and sound and mom and baby are doing great! Brooklyn Rachel Bushman was born on Aug 1st at 11:14 am weighing in at 7lbs. 3oz and 20 inches long. We went to see her only a few hours after she was born! She is so stinking cute! I can't believe how small they really are right when they are born. I seem to always forget that part. Sarah is recovering nicely and Brooklyn so far is very healthy! What more could you ask for!

Leif just kept saying "my baby" and kept trying to kiss her over and over which we put an end to quickly. I think he was in love right away too! Hope he likes his new little brother this much in a couple of months!

Super Hansens!!!

I went school clothes shopping for the kids and Jake spotted a Superman shirt awhile ago that he had wanted! Well big sale + awesome coupon = cheap shirt, so I bought one for each of the kids! Leif is always walking around in his superman pajamas yelling "Superman" and jumping into the air! Needless to say they loved their shirts and want to wear them everyday!
