Father's and Son's Campout 2011

Off on another camping adventure with the boys. This was Leif's first Father's and Son's Camp out. We left for Roman Nose State Park on a windy Friday afternoon. We were one of the first families there and pitched out tent under a cedar tree, protected from the wind.

Leif was so excited to get in the tent and couldn't wait for snacks! Marshmellows were all he could talk about on the ride to the camp.

We went for a hike to the top of the cliff above the campground.

We worked on a service project for the park. We cleaned and repainted the bathroom building. From about 5 ft and down the paint was really thick!

We went for another hike through the woods

Jake stayed up late playing capture the flag. Both he and Leif made friends and hung out with some of the teenagers in our ward, Micheal and Ben Britton.

There were plenty of games to play
We also had a great fireside with President Graves

At the end of it all we had some tired boys.
This is about 3mins in to our drive home.
(relax, I'm a totally safe driver)

New lines added to fix the septic

The morning after getting home from our trip to Austin we had the Septic fixed! We had to add three new lines off of it. The whole side yard was ripped apart! One of my favorite red bud trees also had to be cut down. So sad. It was fun to watch my dad hover over the workers all day! HAHA! There are now huge ruts in the yards thanks to these big bad boys!!!

I think Mike would have had tractor envy if he saw this one!

Tired kids and the final morning!

The older kids all slept in the living room up stairs! They were so tired by the time night came! What cuties! Then on Sunday morning the kids threw together an Easter egg hunt in the back yard! We headed back home around 10:30 am! It was a great weekend! Thanks Bushmans!

ZIPLINING THRU THE CYPRESS!!!

So Saturday afternoon Eric and Wendy took us Zip lining! It was actually what Wendy wanted for her birthday and we just got to tag along! It was a blast! I of course was the only one to bring my camera, no pressure, but got some okay shots!! The kids stayed at home while Cecily and her friend babysat! It was so fun and even more fun because there were no kids!!! Thanks for the great idea Wendy!!! A Must do again sometime!

Easter Weekend Trip!!!

We got to Austin Friday afternoon and went canoeing! It was a blast but alas I did not bring my camera. We woke up Saturday morning and crashed their ward Easter Egg Hunt!! I think we doubled the amount of kids that were there! Ryan adorned his Easter Bunny outfit and the kids loved it! Okay Leif was scared spit less and didn't even care if it was in fact Uncle Ryan in that monstrosity! Lily livened up the event by screaming out during complete silence that in fact, " The Easter bunny is not real!" Everyone was gathered around ready for the hunt and the terrible news was broken by yes, my child! What a stink! No wonder we are never invited anywhere! The kids had a blast and it was a fun morning!!!
