Naps Anywhere But Our Beds!

Leif has not taken naps for along time but lately has decided to fall asleep all the time on the couch or floor! I guess we all like to do that! Guess I should start giving him naps again!

Mike is a POPULAR GUY!!!

It was dental hygiene month for the kindergartners at Lily's school! Mike volunteered to go and teach all the kindergarten classes about dental hygiene! There were 80 or so kindergartners who were very excited to participate! He did a wonderful job and the kids loved the fact that it was not just sitting there listening to Mike talk. They got to dress up like teeth and get cavity bugs put all over them! It was so fun to watch. Lily of course was mega excited that her dad was the star!!! AWESOME job Mike!!! The kids left with a cool packet full of games, toothbrush, hand held dental flosser, and of course Mike's card!

We stayed to each lunch with Lily after the presentation! I think Mike was the most popular guy in the lunchroom! Everyone wanted to sit by him! His dreams of popularity have finally come true! HAHA! All the kids loved having Leif and Luke there too!

Pine Wood Derby!

Jacob is finally old enough for the derby! I don't know who was more excited, Jacob or Mike! Mike spent weeks before the derby preparing Jacob's car. Apparently since Mike's dad did his car growing up it was his turn to do Jacob's. I guess that is the unwritten rule in pinewood derby talk! He did however let Jake help a little with the sanding and the painting! It was funny to see how into it Mike was. Well, needless to say after all of Mike's hard work they did not fair too well. I don't even think he placed but they had a good time at least!

I love it when they fall asleep in these things. So cute! Can't be comfortable though. Check out Luke's eyes. Kinda creepy. All of my kids sleep with a sliver of their eyes open!

Where is Leif?

Oh yeah, he is where he always is! Right next to Luke! Leif is obsessed with his little brother. I love that he loves him so much but my goodness, give the poor kid some breathing room every once in awhile!

Spring Snow Storm!!!

Why is it that the weekdays are so nice and every weekend it is super cold and either snowing or raining! The kids loved having snow this late in the year! They had fun with their cousins and thank goodness it was all melted just two days later. Crazy weather here in Oklahoma. This winter we have had an unbelievable amount of snow!!!

Camping with the Big Boys!!!

Mike took the teachers camping last weekend and decided to let Jacob tag along! Jake had a blast! He sure felt like one of the big boys! He had fun playing capture the flag all night, wrestling, and just being one of the boys! Poor kid got no sleep and by the time he got home was plum tuckered out! I had him go lay on his bed and he was out like a light! What a cutie!!!

Leif Turned 3!!!

Time sure is flying by! Leif is 3! Can't believe it! We just stayed home and had a family party with the folks and Ryan and Sarah's family!!! All Leif really wanted for his birthday was CHOCOLATE CAKE. That is all he cared about and talked about for weeks. Lucky kid got not only a chocolate cake, but chocolate cupcakes, cookies, and a big piece of cake! I love you Leif!!! On his actual Birthday though we went to Mexico Joe's in Stillwater with Ryan's family and Leif got the sombrero with the Happy Birthday song along with some fried ice cream! Yummy!!!

Vegas Baby!

I got to go to Vegas for a long weekend and had a great time. I met Barbara, Megan, and Maggie. We did tons of shopping, eating, and playing! It was a lot of fun. Thanks to my hubby that held down the fort all weekend. It was a busy weekend for him too with soccer practices, games, church, ect... He did it all without even one complaint. I love him so much! He is a great dad and hubby!!!
