Someone is spoiled by his Grandma!

So Grandma Bushman is still here taking care of me with I recoup from surgery!  Our little man got a pretty good diaper rash and Grandma loves to give him baths in the sink!  He loves it. Grandma does not enjoying bending over the bathtub to wash this little guy.  So on a rare occasion he gets to play in the sink!  Silly kid!

 

 

It Can Be Done!

Who says you can't fit three cars into a two car garage!  We were expecting large hail again tonight and my mom was staying the night to help take care of me.  She refused, (HAHA) to remove her car from our garage to let Mike put his in there.  Well my silly hubby made it work!  The overhang pretty much covered his entire car so it would be safe!  And guess what?  It didn't even rain or storm!  HAHA

Vascular Surgery with the Trellis

So during my week stay at Mercy hospital I researched like crazy to try and find a good reliable surgery to have for the many clots in my femoral and iliac veins.  I could not take knowing they were just sitting in my veins so I decided to go the route of surgery to remove them.  I found the type of surgery I knew I wanted and low and behold they did that kind right next door to Mercy at The Heart Hospital!  My surgeon was a lovely guy from Ireland with a terrific accent!  I guess Mike snuck a picture of me in the recovery room!  The gross bloody picture was the next day home from the hospital.  They did the surgery through the back of my knee and went up my veins clear to my abdomen and removed as many clots as they could.  The Heart Hospital is Awesome!  Wish I would have stayed there for a week instead of Mercy!  HAHA

 

A Rare Occasion!

Someone was tired after a certain camp out that he had a blast on!!!

My Cuties!

My kids are so lucky!  They get to have a dad for a dentist and try everything out on them as he learns!  These wonderful contraptions are pulling their upper teeth forward and are attached to their retainers that are expanding their palletes.  Lucky ducks! Leif is just dying to get his own someday!  Funny kid!  Dad of course is off trying to save the world one bunny rabbit at a time!  HAHA  The little bunny would not eat out of the dropper.  We convinced Lily later that night to just put the bunny back in it's home.  We let her do it at like 11 pm that night and she was a trooper and not sad at all.  My dad even saw it hopping around like 3 days later!  

 

 

 

 

 

 

A Little Traumatizing!

So Leif came running into my room screaming for help because "Mia is eating all the bunnies!"  Okay, so what in the world is he talking about.  I followed him up to the roof where I see like 6 baby bunnies running all over the roof with Mia snatching them up one by one and eating them.  It was so sad.  Every time she grabbed on in her mouth they would squeal really loud!  The kids were frantically trying to catch them before Mia ate them.  Bad dog!  HAHA  Lily had been playing on the roof and stepped on their nest by the chimney on accident.  They went running and Mia chased after.  She saved one and decided to put it in with the new baby chicks we just got in the garage.  We will see how long we keep it before letting it go!

 

Last Day of School!

Do these kids not look super excited or what?  Guess they are way excited to spend their summer with their mom!!!

Leif's Pre-K Graduation

Okay, how adorable is this kid!  Leif graduated from Pre-K today and I was able to be there!  He was so excited for the big day!  He wanted me to take pictures of him waiting in line before school started and then begged me to take pictures through the whole ceremony and afterwards in the classroom!  They sang some special songs for us and handed out awards!  Leif received an award from his teacher which was the "Go with the Flow" award!  Apparently he is just a very easy going kid that never gets in trouble ever!  I love him so much!  I can't believe he will be going to school all day next year!  Wow time flies!  I love you little man!

My Cute Boys!

These two boys could not make it home from the 30 minute drive from church!  I love it when they do this!  Sometimes Luke is hard to transfer to his bed.  We usually just leave the doors open to the van and leave Leif in there depending on how hot it is outside.  Later that night we had dinner on the patio!  The lovely chicken wanted to join!

 

Stitches!

So Mike took the kids to Edmond Touch a Truck today! The kids have been stuck at home for so long this summer so far I feel bad for them.  I stayed home because I still can't walk very well.  They had been gone about 15 minutes and I get a call from Mike saying, "Do you feel like getting in the car and going for a ride?"  I thought our car had broken down or something.  Nope.  They had been there a total of 5 minutes when Leif took a head dive into the police cruiser steering wheel and split his lip open.  Luckily Mike just fixed him up at his office.  He wanted me there to be the assistant.  When I showed up Mark was there so I just went and got the kids lunch and brought it back to the office to eat.  Leif was good as knew by then!  Yeah for daddy!!!

 

 

When Leif got home he decided another project should occupy his time.  He made a solar system with stars all over the living room.  I love that kid!!!

Homebound!

I got released from the hospital today!  Yeah for me.  I was there for 6 days!  Crazy.  My INR level is where it needs to be and now on to vascular surgery!  I had a vascular surgeon from the heart hospital come over to give me a consult and researched like crazy during my free time what I wanted to do.  I think I will have what is called the Trellis Treatment.  It is a procedure to go in through the veins and clean out the clots.  There are several different ways to do this and the Trellis makes the most sense to me.  Might wait a couple weeks and get re-ultrasounded first to see how bad the clots still are but will most likely do it.  I am actually nervous to be home.  My leg still hurts badly and I am scared that Luke will constantly be jumping all over me.  Guess we will see!!!

4th Grade Graduation Banquet!  

On to Intermediate school!  Weird!  Mike was able to take off a couple hours to go to Jake's Awards Assembly Banquet for his 4th grade graduation.  I was still in the hospital so could not attend.  Starting next year Jacob will be going to the new intermediate school that will have 5th and 6th grades.  Then on to middle school from there where 7th and eighth grade will be.  I can not believe how fast he is growing up!  He got lots of awards of course and we are so proud of him!!!

New Info and Visits!

Third day in the hospital and got some answers as to why this happened!  Well, turns out I have a blood disorder called Factor V Leiden.  That means that my blood can be too thick at times.  So, being on birth control for the first time in a long time, having surgery (tummy tuck), and not getting up and walking enough was the perfect storm!  I guess birth control is a no no with this disorder.  I will be on Cummadin for at least six months if not more.  I am now starting to research like crazy the idea of having vascular surgery to remove these clots so I do not need to be paranoid anymore!  I will be staying in the hospital until my blood reaches a certain level call INR level.  This level tells how thick or thin your blood is and I need to be between a 2 and 3.  Loved seeing the kids today!  Thanks mom!!!

 

Visitors!!!

My mother brought the kids up to see me today!  I love them so much!  I am sure my mom is so tired but I am so grateful she is helping me through this!  I love the picture with Luke holding my face!  He can be cute sometimes I guess.  I will have to admit it has been nice and peaceful during my stay! Sure I miss the kids but this is like a vacation!  To bad I picked the hospital to spend my vacation!  HAHA
