OKAY, I WILL FINALLY DO MY TAG!!!

Kacie has been begging me to do the tag for awhile and I keep putting it off. Since I was tagged again I guess I will get off my but and do it! I am answering two different tags, Kacie Gibb's and Kellie Barney's, so bare with me. Here goes:

Where did you meet your husband? We met at Utah State. We were in the same ward. He lived in a little white house somewhat close to my apartment and I knew a couple of his roommates before he moved in. If you want to know the first time we met that is up for debate! We both remember two totally different times. Mine is right though. He just doesn't remember!! HAHA

What was the first thing said? Again we both remember different times! I specifically remember meeting him at a ward opening social and telling him he looked exactly like one of my old roommates boyfriends! He doesn't even remember that entire conversation. He was too busy scoping out the new ward and all the girls he had to chose from. He thinks we met for the first time a couple days later at his house while I was visiting his roommates! What a dork, doesn't know a good thing when it is right in his face!! HAHA

What was your first date? He took me out to pizza at The Factory in Logan with a few other couples and then off to play pool and hang out with all of his friends from home or school.

How long did you date? This could be good. I actually have no idea! We were on and off so many times. We met in Aug. of 1998 and got engaged in July 1999. So in that year your guess is as good as ours. He kept chasing me everywhere and I wanted nothing to do with him. I had never met anyone so persistent in my life. I even moved back to Provo to do my final internship before graduation and he kept coming down every weekend to see me. I was not so nice of a girl to him during our dating months. I don't know why he stuck around but he did and I am glad!!

First kiss? Our first kiss was in his car in Salt Lake somewhere I think. It was Terrible!!! We both always laugh about that now. We were both leaning awkwardly and could not get situated for a good kiss! It did get better though. I wouldn't kiss him for the longest time poor guy. I can't believe he stuck around. The night before we met I had just broken off an engagement with someone else and was not looking for anything serious. I did not have a ring yet but we had talked about getting married that winter. I did not kiss Mike for about 3 or 4 months. He tells me now that was pure torture for him. I didn't tell him I had broken off an engagement with someone. When I finally told him that about 6 months later he finally understood what my deal was.

Where did you get engaged? FUNNY STORY!!! He had planned the cutest lunch up in the Uintah's above his house in Heber. We drove way up in the mountains and took a walk up this tiny trail where he had set out a nice table and goblets that his parents used at their wedding. I was shocked it was all set up so perfectly. And for lunch he brought SUBWAY. I know, romantic! He had it all in a cooler in the truck with some sparkling cider. We headed up to the table, unpacked all the food and then CATASTROPHY! About a million deer fly swarmed us everywhere. If you know deer fly the bite hard!! We hurried and packed the food back into the cooler and ran for the truck with me swatting his head with a towel to get the flies off him. We opened the cooler in the truck to eat, and low and behold the cider had opened and spilled all over the sandwiches. Needless to say they were way to soggy to eat! We talk for a few minutes laughing and then decided to just go clean up the table. The flies must have only been attracted to the food so we hung out for awhile and he proposed under a tree by our cute table. It was definately a memorable experience. Poor Guy!!! He tried hard!

Where did you get married? We got married in the American Fork Temple on Sept. 25, 1999

How did your reception go? It was AWESOME!!! We had the reception at the golf coarse up in the mountains in Midway. It was beautiful. The leaves were at the peak of changing and our pictures turned out great! There we tons of people which meant tons of presents. It was great!!! We had a small reception in Oklahoma right after our honeymoon, but my parents were moving to Houston the next day so the house was all packed up and ready to go. We had it in our front yard which is beautiful!! My dad has ten acres and a huge front yard. My brother moved into the house after that until my parents returned 5 or so years later.

Where did you go on your honeymoon? We went to the coolest little beach house in Oregon, near Newport, that his family knew the owners. It had a huge beach right in front of the house that was pretty much secluded! We traveled the coast for about ten days. It was great!!! We later went back to the same beach house with about 4 other couples and also with his family a couple times. It is a cool spot!

Do you have a song? No song here! We didn't even really like the same music back then! We also had a little orchestra at the wedding so there was no DJ or dancing really!
What is your spouses name? Michael Craig Hansen

How long have you been together? Well, we were married in Sept. of 1999. I guess you could say we were together on and off during the entire year previous to our marriage!

Who eats more? Me, hands down!! He can eat alot of pizza but I pretty much can out eat him anytime. Well, at least I eat much faster than he does. I think he could actually be the slowest eater alive!! I wish I was, then maybe I would get fuller faster and I wouldn't be able to out eat him!

Who said "I Love You" first? I actually have know idea. I wonder if he will even remember. I will have to ask him tonight and update this!

Who is taller? Mike is by about 6 inches!

Who sings better? We both completely suck!! He is always making fun of me when I sing songs to my kids at night for bed or any other time. I am terrible. I don't even like to sing in church which at least he tries every week.

Who is smarter? Mike for sure! I could never have gone to Dental School or even taken half of the classes he did in college. I did graduate from college, just did not take any hard classes to do so. I think I am smarter with our finances though. Always looking for the best deals!

Who does the laundry? That would be me. I absolutely hate doing the laundry but I guess that means Mike hates it even worse. If I ask him to help me fold he will always do so. I am terrible and try to have two loads in my washer and dryer when my mom comes over to babysit my kids because she always finishes it for me. I never have to tell her to, she just sees it in there and does it. Couldn't ask for a better Mother!!

Who does the dishes? That would be both of us probably equally! Since neither of us cook very often there is never very many dishes to clean up! I know sad! We actually BBQ alot which does not require much clean up. Cereal is a staple at our house!!

Who pays the bills? I do! I don't think he would even know how to do it! We do sit down a few times a month and enter everything we ever spend into Quicken together. We both know everything that is being spent, but he doesn't actually pay the bills himself. He just gripes at me every time we enter in our receipts for how much money I spent that week. HAHA

Who mows the lawn? He does. I have to beg him to do it most times because our front lawn looks like a jungle. We have a sloped front yard and I told him if he wants me to do it he needs to buy a good lawn mower that is self propelled. He is too cheap though so he can just do it himself with me nagging!

Who cooks dinner? Well, we both do, but I would have to say he does more often. I go through spurts where I will cook a lot for awhile and then stop! BBQ is our favorite though with lots of yummy veggies on the grill!

Who is more stubborn? Without a doubt, ME!!! I don't know how he puts up with me sometimes. He denfinately gives in way more than I do! What a great guy I have!!!

Who asked who out first? He did! I was in total shock because he came over to my house with his roommate. I had just barely met him the day before. There was another guy there helping me fix my computer and he totally asked me out in front of him. He had no idea if I was dating the guy or anything! I thought that took some guts!

Who proposed? He did. I knew it was coming though. We had already talked about getting married and pretty much knew what month.

Who has more siblings? I do! I have 4 brothers and he has 1 brother and 1 sister.

Who wears the pants? I like to think I do most of the time but he puts me into place every once in a while. Like getting a dog without asking me for the okay! Good dog though I have to admit!
