No More Tonsils!!!

So, Jake got his ginormous tonsils removed today! Oh, and adenoids. We woke up at 5:30 which Jake was not happy about, and headed for the hospital. Dr. Orgill, a good family friend and neighbor for years, removed them. Jake did amazing and was so brave! I was very proud of him! He did not complain once except about getting up so early. He even sat and watched his nurse take out his IV intently and did not even grimace. What a big boy! We sure love our Jacob!!!

Grandma and Jake at 5:30 am. Grandma got to watch the two other rugrats!!!

Waiting to check in! He was so giddy for some reason!

All dressed up and ready to go!

I love the face he is giving to the nurse!

What a pair!

Got the favorite Webkin and ready to head back to surgery!

Poor guy! This is what I found afterwards! Isn't that so sad!

He was so great the whole day, never cried or complained! What a trooper!

He was giving me the thumbs up it was time to get out of there!!

He was excited to ride in a wheel chair and wanted a smoothie from Sonic ASAP!!!

On a side note, Leif had tubs put in his ears on Monday this week as well. We forgot to bring the camera to that appointment! Oops! He did great though! This has been a week of hospitals for the Hansen's. Feels like every other day around here! HAHA

p.s. whats with the socks and sandals...you need to put a stop to that, MOM! :)

All right the socks and sandals are a bit much!! HAHA The hospital was freezing. He just wore the sandals to the hospital and I brought the socks in my bag. He wouldn't take them off again when it was time to go home he was to cold. I think he is cute no matter what he wears!!!

i guess it was jake's turn to be in the hospital. it's only fair to lily and leif. it looks like he managed the procedure really well. i'm glad seth got his over and done with long time ago. has jake's voice changed at all? i still remember him and seth playing in our basement right after seth got his tonsils out and you were like, who's in your basement since seth's voice totally went up a notch. good luck with all the recovering.
