First Day of School!

The kids were more than ready to get back into the swing of things.  Although they did not admit that!  HAHA  I was more than ready to have a clean house again and some free time on my hands during nap time.  I have been trying to transfer the kids to Prairie Vale for like three weeks now and they will not give me an answer!  Very frustrating indeed.  Luke got into an early 3 program through Deer Creek and when he turns 3 he will be attending Prairie Vale.  It is the only elementary school that offers it.  Anyway I wanted all the kids to be in the same school so I would not have to drive all over kingdom come to three different schools.  They keep telling me that I will get an answer by next week so I guess we will just start school at our old school which I still love. 

Jake is now in intermediate school!  Weird.  Intermediate school consists of 5th and 6th grade.  It is actually my old elementary school and the principle is my old 2nd grade teacher Mr. Ottinger!  Love it!  Jake just seems so grown up to me!  It is almost like he is in middle school now with a locker and everything!  His bus gets here at 6:58 am!  School starts for him at 7:30 am and ends at 2:30pm.  I thought it might be a pain that early in the morning but I love it!  He is up and ready and loves to get home before the other kids and have a little quite time!  We all know how Jake loves his quite time!  Love that kid.  He hopped on the bus and had a great first day of school!!!

 I took Leif and Lily to school to get Leif settled in Kindergarten.  As we walked down the halls everyone was saying, "Hello Lily," and giving her hugs.  Every teacher we walked past said hello to her!  She is definitely our little social butterfly!  I had to beg her to wear a cute back to school outfit.  She is such a tom boy and could care less about what she wears everyday!  Luke had to jump in and join the picture in front of the school sign!

 

We got Leif settled in for the day!  He was so excited to be there all day this year!  He is more than ready for all day school!  Talk about exciting, he gets to eat his lunch there!  Wow!  I only wish the simple things like that made me excited too! I love this kid!  They both got wonderful teachers and Luke made himself at home too!                       

  

Here Luke and I are waiting for the bus to bring the kids home!   Leif was so dang excited to ride the bus! He was so brave to do it all by himself.  Well, Lily was there to help him but they did not even sit together!  I love these kiddos!!!
